An aircraft carrying a delegation from the Brazilian club, as well as members of the media, crashed in Colombia on November 28th en route to the Copa Sudamericana final in Medellin, prompting clubs, national associations and federations worldwide to offer their sympathies.
The entire sport of beach soccer also wishes to pay its respects and offer condolences to those affected.
CONMEBOL confirmed on Wednesday that all its sporting activities would be suspended until further notice, while the Brazilian Football Confederation has decreed a seven-day period of official mourning.
