Beach Soccer Worldwide supports healthy nutrition

Beach Soccer World Wide has been part this morning of the round table “La frutta in gioco” (Fruits into play), held together with the FIGC-Lega Nazionale and the San Michele del Tagliamento Town Council aiming at the importance of fruit for a complete diet, specially for athletes. Gabino Renales, general director of BSWW has participated into the conference, carried out at Hotel Bibione Palace and mainly conducted by expert nutritionist Dr Samantha Biale in front of members of most of the National Teams taking part in Round of 16 of the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Qualifier that is taking place in Bibione. Davide Codognotto, Sports Town Councillor, and Gianni Carrer, Hoteller’s President, were also there.

Dr Biale has explained that consuming fruit is absolutely fundamental for a proper nutrition, which in turn is something crucial for athletes’ health and performance. “Fruit helps the organism fight the free radicals, as well as is the responsible of strengthening muscular fibres and cartilage”. The nutritionist explained also the differences among the five colour-groups in fruits, which are more relevant that might be expected: “Each kind of fruit gives us a different kind of benefit, so the best thing is to have a red fruit, a yellow one, a white one, an orange one and a purple one every day”.

Biale has also dealt with the special conditions of beach soccer in front of other sports, such as the tough terrain or the high, under-heavy-sun temperature in which matches take place “what makes it even more important to ingest the proper amount of fruit for hydration and vitamin load”.
