Brazil secures final of Copa América!

Things in group B are terribly tied, instead, and final decision is left for tomorrow

Brazil became the first of the finalists of this Copa América de Fútbol Playa 2016 they are hosting in Santos, following an incontestable win over Uruguay.

Gilberto’s lads are the only unbeaten side in the competition, and this is worth a spot in the final, since no other team in the group can parallel their registers at this point.

Yet in the first period, Brazil had already secured the three points, thanks to a magnificent 4-1 run against the Charrua. After that, it was all steep road for La Celeste, who could never truly menace the Brazilian dominion in the game.

Paraguay got against Peru the victory they needed to get back their optimism and their good sensations after their bitter defeat against Colombia yesterday.

The Albirroja ended the game with an effective beach soccer display during the first half of the game, and blocked the Peruvian attempts in the second stage.

In that moment, the stunning performance by goalkeeper González, had the win sealed for Paraguay who will now need to win their game against Ecuador tomorrow and wait for a Colombian defeat to Peru to access the final.

In the other game of the group, Ecuador denied Venezuela’s chances to get in the final of the Copa America, thanks to a mighty beach soccer display in the first game of the day.

Despite Venezuela tried to react, acknowledging that one victory granted them very considerable chances to fight for silverware on Sunday, nothing worked for the Vinotinto who see their options virtually vanish with this result.

Back to group A, Argentina could finally snatch their first points in the competition following an 11-goal thriller against Bolivia.

La Verde managed to counteract the Albiceleste’s wider experience on beach sand with a spirited display, and their effort was almost successful.

The game was a tight, balanced fight all throughout, with both teams exchanging strikes and equalizing each of their opponent’s advantages.

With only 5 minutes to go, Argentina came from 4-5 behind and sealed a dramatic win with two goals.
