Camilo Perez, ODESUR President, wants to see beach soccer in the next South American Olympic Games (Juegos ODESUR)
Beach Soccer Worldwide, ODESUR and APF have hosted a meeting to work on the next steps beach soccer is to make in the Olympic pool in South America.
Josep Ponset, Director of Competitions of BSWW met with Camilo Perez (President of the Paraguay Olympic Committee, ODESUR President and ODEPO – Panamerican Games Committee Member) and Ricardo Torres (Head of Beach Soccer at the Paraguay Football Association).
The scope of the meeting was exploring the routemap to follow to have beach soccer in the coming ODESUR Games 2022, with Paraguay as one of the candidates.
Camilo Perez, a beach soccer fan, highlighted that he would love to see the sport in the next South American Olympic Games (ODESUR Games) and the next Panamerican Games (Chile, 2023).
Perez analyzed the role of beach soccer in the last European Games Baku 2015, and was highly impressed with the sport’s position in that Games.
