Two stars from the USA National Team, Nick Perera and Cristopher Toth, teach the secrets of beach soccer to more than 40 children
The United States occupy now the throne in the CONCACAF beach soccer world, following their laudable win in the last FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Qualifier, held last year in Nassau (The Bahamas). The present is theirs. But if the US beach soccer wants to have a bright future, too, they have to work with the new generations.
Working with the youngest ones is the road to success, and the Americans know it very well. With this idea in mind, the San Diego Socker’s held a beach soccer clinic in Encinitas’ Moonlight Beach in the days before Christmas. Conducted by USA National Tream stars Nick Perera and Cristopher Toth, more than 40 children took part in the sessions, featuring technical exercises and real-game situations.
Having the opportunity to learn the beach soccer skills and techniques from two big players such as Toth and Perera, best goalkeeper and top scorer of the last FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Qualifier respectively, was something the children will not easily forget. At the same time, the sensations were also exceptional for the experienced players, seeing the amusing interest the activity arose. As long as the boys and girls have the opportunity to play, the future for beach soccer is bright.
This three-day clinic becomes the biggest Beach Soccer campus ever held in the San Diego County, and lights the way to go in terms of children beach soccer formation and involvement.
