BSC Chargers Baselland beat 2012 Champions Grasshoppers Club Zurich to claim the 2015 Suzuki Swiss Beach Soccer National League, in a very busy and emotional weekend in Spiez.
A prolific performance by Swiss National Team star Philip Borer decided this fight between two of the biggest colossus of the Swiss Beach Soccer panorama. Five goals by the talented winger were too much for Grasshoppers, at the time they made him the Top Scorer of the tournament. Noel Ott, with four goals, was the Grasshopper’s lighthouse during the first stages of the game, and he even managed, with his fourth consecutive goal, to sweep the ones from Zurich ahead in the score; but his huge contribution ended up being not enough to upset the Chargers.
BSC Chargers have rounded a wonderful season this year, after claiming the Swiss Cup two weeks ago, and the Beach Soccer USA Cup in May this year, and earned the right to represent Switzerland in the Euro Winners Cup 2016.
