Viña del Mar gets ready to host the first international event of the new season, featuring Chile, Uruguay, Argentina and Mexico
Chile has for long been waiting to join the top-flight beach soccer international circuit, and this dream will come true early in the year. Between 23rd and 25th of January, the beautiful seaside resort of Viña del Mar will host the Copa Beach Soccer Viña del Mar, featuring some of the finest American powerhouses.
Defending CONMEBOL champions Argentina, 2006 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup runner-up Uruguay, CONCACAF long time rulers Mexico and hosts Chile will be on hand to compete on an absolute thriller in the Playa del Deporte (Viña del Mar)
The event will be played for three days in a round robin format, and the match schedule will go as follows:
Friday, 23rd of January:
18:00 – Argentina vs. Mexico
19:15 – Uruguay vs. Chile
Saturday, 24 of January:
18:00 – Argentina vs. Uruguay
19:15 – Chile vs. Mexico
Sunday, 25 of January:
18:00 – Mexico vs. Uruguay
19:15 – Chile vs. Argentina
