Coruxo claims first ever Copa RFEF

The Galician side prevailed in the competition involving the eight best teams in Spain, with Ramiro Amarelle as MVP of the tournament

Ramiro Amarelle lead Coruixo to the title in the Spanish Copa RFEF, held this last weekend in Sanxenxo (Galicia). After opening the score in the 6-2 win over Levante UD, the left-footed magician was the best on the sand, and was awarded as the tournament’s MVP after the final.

Coruxo, playing on front of their own crowd, left little options to the “granota”, who could only try to counteract when the match was pretty much under Galician control.

Together with Amarelle, Coruxo had two World Champions in their ranks: Bruno Novo and Bruno Torres, who played a very relevant role in the team’s excellent performance (only one single defeat in the competition, against Valencia CF during the group stage).

This first ever Copa RFEF brought the best eight clubs in Spain, and ended as a huge success.  The stadium was crowded and the fans enjoyed a wonderful weekend of beach soccer.
