Day 2 in Lignano Sabbiadoro: same winners in Division A; all open in Division B

Portugal and Switzerland won today again their respective matches in Division A, defeating France and Italy respectively, In Lignano Sabbiadoro, under an intense sun.  Both wins were tighter than yesterday ones but still, 3 points flew in the same direction.

In the first match of Division A, Portugal won France 8-5 in an intense match. Despite victory was always close to Portuguese, French insisted and insisted until the last minute. But Madjer, with 4 goals today, was too good for the Blues. With this score, Portugal has 6 points and leave France with zero after 5 matches, which makes it impossible for them to qualify for the Superfinal in the top 6 bracket.

In the other match, Switzerland managed to win hosts Italy in a very exciting match which finished 6-5. Tight match until the last 5 minutes… either team could have won. But if Portuguese have Madjer, Swiss have of course Stankovic, who  scored the first 4 goals for his team and was too much for the Italians. This way, hosts continue having zero points in their event, while Swiss win their second match of Euro League and secure 6 points.

In Division B, The Netherlands lost to Czech Republic and will face Azerbaijan tomorrow. It was a very tight match again, with a final score of 5-4 which leaves everything open for tomorrow. Azerbaijan and Czech Republic both have 3 points. If The Netherlands win tomorrow, all teams will draw to 3 points and goal difference will make its say.
