Egypt and Lebanon will vie for Cup

The hosts and the Lebanese accessed the final of the International Beach Soccer – Sharm El Sheikh, after edging Romania and England

Egypt and Lebanon will struggle for the glory at the International Beach Soccer tournament of Sharm El Sheikh, after their consisting performances in the semi-finals yesterday. The hosts gave Romania no option at all, and stormed past the European side to secure a berth in the tournament decider. Things were pretty balanced during the first two periods, but the Pharaoh’s amazing 8-1 run in the last frame sealed their go-through.

Things were pretty much tighter in the other semi-final, in which only one goal made Lebanon finalists in Sharm El Sheikh. Everything happened in the second period, with Lebanon hitting first, widening the advantage, and England pulling one goal back. In the third period, the Lebanese defence prevailed, and Moghaddam’s side will take on Egypt for the cup this same afternoon.

In the match for the 5th place, Hungary edged Kuwait for their first win in the competition. After Fekete’s opener, the Magyar commanded the game, trying to keep the combative Kuwaiti as far as possible. The Asian side cut down the distance, but their reaction was never enough, as the Hungarians ended up prevailing.
