FIFA Beach Soccer Workshop returns to Dubai

The fifth edition of the global meeting will get together, once again, coaches, promoters and beach soccer stakeholders from all over the world

Key figures from across the world of beach soccer will once again convene in Dubai for the Samsung Beach Soccer Intercontinental Cup in November, with the fifth annual FIFA Beach Soccer Workshop set to be the focal point for the sport’s development once more.

The previous four editions have all provided valuable resources and ideas for those in various roles throughout the game and this year’s event on November 4th promises to be no different, with members of national football associations, FIFA executives and various other beach soccer stakeholders all due to receive invitations.

Held at Le Meridien Mina Seyahi, guests can contribute their views on key issues surrounding the sport while also gaining information and inspiration to take back to their respective teams, nations and organisations.

The agenda of this fifth FIFA Beach Soccer Workshop includes topics such as:

-How can Beach Soccer become an Olympic Sport? Can the Laws of the Game be improved (open debate)?

-Women Beach Soccer, a growing opportunity?

-Commercial/Brand Engagement

-FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Bahamas 2017 preview

-Planned 2017 Beach Soccer Calendar

As the world looks back on the 2016 Olympics in Rio, guests at the workshop will firstly be invited to take part in discussions regarding how beach soccer can be incorporated into ‘the greatest show on earth’.

The event will also focus attention on women’s beach soccer, following a season in which the female game has made great strides.

Alongside the first women’s Euro Winners Cup competition in Catania, the beach soccer calendar also featured the inaugural Euro Beach Soccer Cup as part of the Mundialito in Cascais, as development of the female game continued at pace.

Commercial strategies and engagement with beach soccer as a brand will be among the talking points as the sport targets further growth in 2017, while next year’s calendar will also be discussed.

The fifth topic of the workshop will be one that resonates throughout the sport, with delegates and guests to be given a preview of the much-anticipated FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup in the Bahamas.

With the countdown well and truly on to the showpiece event in April next year, the workshop will talk through the tournament’s background and also include details on facilities and procedures for what is unquestionably one of the crown jewels in the beach soccer schedule.

The latest installment of one of beach soccer’s most eagerly awaited events is again set to offer expert insight, a high-profile forum for discussion as well as workable solutions for the future, with Dubai – one of the sport’s undoubted heartlands – promising the perfect setting.
