Fight begins in Nassau…

Mexico, El Salvador, USA & Bahamas prevail in FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup 2013 – CONCACAF Qualifier Bahamas opening

Hat Trick by Perera push USA on top

The USA National Team got quickly on top of group A in this FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup CONCACAF Qualifier taking place in Nassau (Bahamas). In the opening of the competition, three goals by Nick Perera ended up knocking Guatemala down, and earning the first points for Eddie Soto?s side.

The USA see this CONCACAF Beach Soccer Championships as the opportunity to jump back to the global stage, after being closed the doors of the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup in the last three occasions. The first steps of this way were not as sweet as they would have want them to be, though, as Suriano, just two minutes into the game, opened the score for Guatemala.

The reaction by the US Beach Soccer National team reacted immediately, with the first two goals by the Spanish born forward Nick Perera, plus Lepooldo?s contribution, making the score 3-1.

Despite they kept fighting, the Chapines would never be able to level that advantage again. Veliz would cut the distance a bit in the beginning of the second leg, only to see Taguinod and Perera finish the game in the last stage of the match.

Goals: 0-1: Suriano, min. 10 (1); 1-1: Perea, min. 7 (1); 2-1: Leopoldo, min. 7 (1); 3-1: Perea, min. 1 (1); 3-2: Veliz, min. 10 (2); 4-2: Taguinod, min. 3 (3); 5-2: Perera, min. 1 (3)

El Salvador run past Jamaica to bag first points

If there was any doubt that El Salvador see no other possible goal than getting a ticket to their fourth consecutive FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup, Gallo?s lads quickly dispelled it. Doubles by Salvadorian heroes Torres, Agustín and Frank were too much to cope with for Jamaica, who tried to react in the second period, with no success.

Yet in the first leg, Agustin and Torres gave the match a true blue color, sweeping the Cuscatleco 2-0 ahead. Jamaica wanted to contest the fourth team in the world as much as they could, but they managed little more than getting as close as 2-1 in the score, thanks to Simpson. Immediately afterwards, though, Elmer and Frank widened the distance again. Peddie pulled one back for the Reggae boys, but that was the end of the way for Price?s lads, as the Azul Playera hit three more times in the last stage of the game to seal a loud win.

The final 7-2 gets the Cuscatleco side at the head of the table in group C of this FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup 2013 ? CONCACAF Qualifier Bahamas, and a new victory on Sunday would get them into semifinals.

Goals: 1-0: Torres, min. 8 (1); 2-0: Agustin, min. 7 (1); 2-1: Simpson, min. 6 (2); 3-1: Elmer, min. 3 (2); 4-1: Frank, min. 2 (2); 4-2: Peddie, min. 1 (2); 5-2: Agustin, min. 9 (3); 6-2: Frank, min. 4 (3); 7-2: Torres, min. 3 (3)

Bahamas blast Puerto Rico in home debut

Bahamas hit the sand in front of their own crowd offering a brilliant beach soccer performance, and hammering rookies Puerto Rico to earn the first three units in this FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup ? CONCACAF Qualifier they are hosting in Nassau. A blunt 1-9 at the end of the game gets the Bahamian overtaking the USA at the head of the table in group A.

After a totally balance first leg, and E. Torres?s immediate equalizer after St. Fleur?s opener, it seemed that the Puerto Rican side could field a tight resistance against the hosts. But as second leg began, this idea severely lost strength, to end up crumbling goal after goal.

St. Fleur began the Bahamian goal frenzy in the third minute of the second period, and he himself closed it with just one minute to go. Between these two moments, Williams, Jean, Daniels, Joseph and Forbes punished Bezares? nets once and again, widening the Puerto Rican wound.

Goals: 0-1: St. Fleur, min. 0 (1); 1-1: E. Torres, min, 0 (1); 1-2: St. Fleur, min. 8 (2); 1-3: Williams, min. 6 (1); 1-4: Jean, min. 5 (2); 1-5: Daniels, min. 2 (2); 1-6: Joseph, min. 9 (3); 1-7: Forbes, min. 8 (3); 1-8: Joseph, min. 2 (3); 1-9: St. Fleur, min. 1 (3);

Defending champions spread terror in the Bahamas

The Mexican National side landed in Nassau with the idea of keeping the CONCACAF crown they recovered in the last edition. And to send a clear message of how badly they intend to do so, the Azteca hammered Canada today, in the first competition day at the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup 2013 ? CONCACAF Qualifier Bahamas.

Plata, with four goals that make him the eventual top-scorer of the tournament, was undoubtedly Mexico?s sharpest weapon. But of course teammates Angel Rodríguez, with three hits, Rosales, Jorge Rodríguez and Ricardo Villalobos were on hand to round a boisterous win for La Tri, at the time they make things really difficult for the Canadians. The 10-0 is likely to become a terribly heavy burden for Laarabi?s lads in their dream of advancing to semifinals.

In turn, such a wide victory boosts the Mexican options, as another victory tomorrow against Trinidad & Tobago will automatically turn Raya?s side into the first semifinalist of the competition. The CONCACAF kings seem ready to retain the throne…

Goals: 1-0: Plata, min. 9 (1); 2-0: A Rodríguez, min. 4 (1); 3-0: A. Rodríguez, min. 3 (1); 4-0: Rosales, min. 7 (2); 5-0: Plata, min. 5 (2); 6-0: Plata, min. 10 (3); 7-0: Plata, min. 10 (3); 8-0: A. Rodríguez, min. 7 (3); 9-0: J. Rodríguez, min. 3 (3); 10-0: Villalobos, min. 2 (3);
