Ghana National League continues competitive play

Keta Sunset Sports remains undefeated as they march through this round of the 2015-2016 CAL Bank Beach Soccer League at the Lambona Beach Soccer Arena

Sunset Sports owned the weekend at the Lambona Beach Soccer Arena as they continued their strong play, despite an almost seven week lay-off from the CAL Bank Beach Soccer League, due to the holidays. The league leaders were able to take care of their own business by defeating the 15th place team the Winneba Giants. Ghana has been making quality moves on the National Beach Soccer scene in Africa and the benefits are seen both ways, Nationally and Internationally.

Despite remaining in the front of the pack, the high-level of play, and even distribution of Ghanaian talent from the Black Sharks National Selection and that means that many more teams are still in the running for the title. In fact, the defending league champions, the Havedzi Mighty Warriors are doing their best to keep up with Keta, and they moved into second place after a convincing win, 7-0, over Tema United.

The heavyweights may have done their jobs, to near perfection, but the excitement included plenty of upsets as well, to keep the fans and other teams on their toes. The Golden Eagles, who call Ashaiman home, thrilled spectators with an unsuspecting 3-0 win over Ada Assurance. The loss put Ada in third place and they now are four points back of the frontrunners, Sunset Sports. Week 16 came to a dramatic finish in Ghana and www.beachsoccer.com will have news and information on the upcoming action as it happens.
