Jaroslaw Jagielski’s side celebrated claiming a seventh national title recently.
For the second straight year, and the seventh time in history, Grembach Lodz proved themselves as the best beach soccer team in Poland.
Led by Jaroslaw Jagielski, they are now the most decorated Polish team, having won seven championships, six Polish Cups and two Super Cups.
First up for Grembach in the four-day competition was a clash with local rivals KP Lodz and, with the game tied at 3-3 after normal time, Nuno Hidalgo saved two penalties from Kucharski, Krawczyk to get Grembach off to a strong start.
The second match of the group stage saw Boca Gdansk take on KP Lodz, with a player infringement meaning that Lodz were awarded a walkover victory as they moved to the semi-finals despite not winning a game.
Grembach Lodz then claimed an 8-2 win over Boca Gdansk before they negotiated the semi-finals against Tonio Team Sosnowiec courtesy of a 13-1 success.
In the other semi, KP Lodz defeated FBS Kolbudy 4-1 to set up a final that would see two of their players, Saganowski and Slowinski, come up against their former club Grembach.
With only one win during the tournament, KP Lodz had plenty to prove but it was Grembach’s Bogacz who opened the scoring after a brilliant pass from Rangel late in the first period.
By the end of the second period, Ziober had put Grembach 2-0 ahead. Knowing that the stakes were high and the lead was quite secure, Jagielski decided to shore up his defence.
Saganowski managed to beat Marciniak and give KP hope, but in the final seconds, Grembach countered and settled the contest through captain Wydmuszek.
Marciniak was voted the best goalkeeper of the tournament, although he decided to pass the award to team-mate Nuno Hidalgo, while Saganowski was named MVP and Rangel claimed top scorer honours thanks to a haul of eight goals in four games.
