Kristall, Rotor, and Dynamo all played over the weekend with hopes of winning the stage though the perennial powerhouse team from Moscow dashed those hopes
The final stage in the Russian National League regular season finished and a familiar face was named king; BSC Lokomotiv. Nothing was decided until the final match, though the simplest outcome was win the match and win the league. Moscow took care of business, 4-1, against Dynamo. In the other match of the day, Kristall overpowered Rotor-Volgograd 4-2 and despite losing out on the regular season championship, are prepared for the Russian Superfinal.
Three of these four clubs will be competing in Volgograd for the Superfinal, which is the final event in the Russian National League. Lokomotiv, Kristall, Rotor, and Strogino will be te Superfinal participants. The Superfinal will determine who will represent Russia in the Euro Winners Cup 2015.
Dmitry Shishin of Rotor Volgograd was extremely jubilant as his team not only secured a place in the Superfinal, but he also took home the coveted top scorer award, The Sandman, having netted 18 goals during the season.
