North American Sand Soccer Championship is almost here

Virginia Beach will host the NASSC beach event for the 21st showing between the 6th and 8th of June

One of the most crowded and successful event of the beach soccer season in North America is just around the corner. For the 21st time there will be the top amateur beach soccer athletes from all over the world competing in what can only be described as a raucous beach party. Spectators will enjoy the breath-taking views of Virginia Beach and will watch over 2,000 matches from the spectacular boardwalk that lines the beach.

Teams and players from all over the world will look to impress with their skills and compile victories. In addition to the children, starting at age 8, and ranging all the way to grizzled Beach Soccer World Cup veterans, there will be teams hailing from all over the globe to play in the McDonald’s U.S. Open Pro/Am National Championship. Those teams will come from six different countries, Brazil, Canada, Portugal, the Bahamas, and Senegal, and also including teams from 5 different states within the U.S., all comprising the 15 team field.

Beach soccer is not just about the beautiful game being played on sand, it is also about the atmosphere and fanfare that surrounds each and every event. This wildly successful fiesta will also include flag football, sand wrestling, and a free beach soccer clinic for children. The extravaganza does not stop there; there will also be celebrity appearances from Miss Virginia and many other surprises. The excitement on and off the pitch make this event a must-see in North America.
