Power Horse presents the latest ranking which show the movements that teams are making all across the globe
The Overall World Ranking Presented by Power Horse have only just been released and updated. All teams and points can be seen here: Overall World Ranking and make sure to follow each month for the new ranking. The teams at the top remain the same with Russia owning the top spot followed by Portugal, winners of the last FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup 2015, Brazil, Italy, Tahiti, Switzerland, Iran, Mexico, Spain, and Paraguay. Every continent is represented in the top-15, showing how competitive the beach soccer scene has become.
Now the Overall World Ranking presented by Power Horse will also have the Mover of the Month, displaying the biggest leap from the entire list of countries. This month the winner is Egypt, as they have become a real tour de force in African beach soccer. The first African team settled into 15th Place, Senegal, as they are narrowly behind Oman, but ahead of Ukraine. The Egyptians are a little further back but after charging ahead 11 places due, in part, to a spirited showing on the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup 2015 – CAF Qualifiers Seychelles, and a silver medal in the Mediterranean Beach Games 2015 Pescara.
The current World Cup champions, Portugal, made a big leap last month after winning the Cup, and then the Euro Beach Soccer League Superfinal Estonia shortly after, so there drive is on full display. The Portuguese will not be satisfied until like reach the top, where Russia is now. The ranking changes every month as it takes into account the previous four years and the most recent events are weighted more, giving recent winners higher point totals.
