Penalty crown for Mexico in Sunderland

England could not keep the trophy at home and the Cup flew to Mexico in the Beach Soccer Worldwide Tour held last weekend in Sunderland. Hosts, though, made it no easy for the American in the decisive match, which both reached with 6 points after two victories. After the 36 minutes, the score was leveled 3-3, and it did not move during the extra time. So the penalty shootout was to decide which hands would lift the Cup.

The Azteca’s better aim from the 9 meter spot secured them the first place of the table, and left England without prize although having played at a great level for all their three matches. The Mexican booty, though did not end here, since the Tricolor also took the Top Scorer Trophy (Hugo López) and the FIFA Fair Play Award.

Greece, in turn, managed their first three points of this exciting tournament beating Germany in their last match (2-4).
