Prime minister welcomes Beach Soccer

Rõivas sees “a huge potential for beach soccer in Estonia” ahead of the EBSL Superfinal and Promotion Final kicking off in Pärnu

Estonian Prime Minister Taavi Roivas received Beach Soccer Worldwide in his office in Tallin today. The head of the Estonian government welcomed Gabino Renales, Beach Soccer Worldwide Deputy Vice-president ahead of the Euro Beach Soccer League Sperfinal and Promotion Final taking place as of this coming Thursday in the seaside resort of Pärnu. The president of the Estonian Football Association, Aivar Pohlak, and the Parliament Member Toomas Kivimägi also attended the meeting.  

Beach Soccer was under focus during most of the conversation, with Rõivas proving to be a true football fan. The Estonian Prime Minister highlighted the “huge potential Beach Soccer has”, as well as praised the possibilities it offers to a country such as Estonia. 

In turn, the president of the Estonian Football Association, Aivar Pohlak, stressed all the trust and belief the association has in the modality, what has brought them to reinforce the resources to make it grow and become a primary sight for football fans, assuring that “beach soccer is much more than a summer activity. We firmly believe that, and reckon the capacity it has to touch people and communities better that any other sport”.
