The first thing I would like to do, after the tremendous European qualifier we all experienced in Jesolo is, on behalf of the Bahamas Football Association and all the people in our country, offer congratulations to the teams of Italy, Poland, Portugal and Switzerland.
Bear no doubt. These sportsmen will set up an unforgettable spectacle in the Bahamas next year. After having the chance to witness, first hand, the level of competition on show in the battle to feature in next year’s FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup and being highly impressed by what I saw in Jesolo, I can only count the days to see them in action in Nassau.
The Bahamian people, truly sports lovers will appreciate it, as well. They will be treated with the best show, a fast, thrilling sport that goes absolutely in line with our origins, our land, and our way of enjoying life and sports.
Beach Soccer and The Bahamas are a perfect match, and this love affair will be absolutely on display in the coming World Cup, to which we are all looking forward to tremendously.
All the teams who qualified were well trained, had a great understanding of the game and obviously possess a lot of talent.
And this is precisely what we feel we have, too. All our people in the Bahamas, both in the Local Organizing Committee and the Local Authorities are working effortlessly, devotedly, to deliver a phenomenal FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup.
We have the spirit, the talent and the professionalism, and we will amaze the sports world with an unforgettable showpiece. A festival that projects the prestige of our country, worldwide known as a real paradise on earth, even further.
As the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup draws closer, we are eager to discover who else will join us at the biggest beach soccer showpiece.
But, for the time being, we offer our congratulations and a very warm welcome from the Bahamas to our friends from Italy, Poland, Portugal and Switzerland.
