Vasco and Malvin to fight for South American crown

The champions will defend their throne agains the Uruguayan side in the Copa Libertadores final 

Vasco da Gama (BRA) and Club Malvin (URU) will face for the Copa Libertadores glory, following their victories against Paraguayan Garden Club and Universidad Autonoma. 

The Brazilian side fielded their beach soccer authority once again in the semi-finals clash, edging a combative Guarani side who managed to get things 3-3 apiece in the second period, coming back from 0-3 behind.

Despite Carballo’s new vigorous performance, with three more goals, Garden Club were unable to derail the Trem Bala da Praia in their way to their second Copa Libertadores final, with a final result of 10-4. 

In the other semi-finals clash, Club Malvin from Uruguay used an extra-time goal by celeste international Gaston Laduche to prevail over hosts Universidad Autonoma (5-4). 

The see-saw battle had the Charrúa counteracting the Universidad Autonoma’s advantages, until a last-minute effort rescued them and sent the game onto extra-time.
