Zidane joins Cantona and other celebrities in a solidarity Beach Soccer Show

One of the best football players ever, Zinedine Zidane joined friend and French Starman Eric Cantona in a Beach Soccer exhibition in Monaco last Sunday evening. Together with other big celebrities such as the Princess Stephanie of Monaco, the former sportsmen Richard Virénque, Marco Simone or Bernard Laporte, or the pop star Cristoph Maé, the two football legends took part again in the Columbus Beach Soccer Show, a solidarity show held in Mónaco aiming to help the foundations ‘Fight Aids Monaco’, chaired by the Monegasque Princess herself, and ‘Un sourire, un espoir pour la vie’, founded by former goalkeeper Pascal Olmeta.

Besides collecting great donations that will help the underprivileged and handicapped children, the spectacle achieved their primary goal, bringing a big smile to the boys and girls that enjoyed, onsite, the match held in their favour. All those who attended the game at the Chapiteau de Fontvieille, could also have a great time witnessing such a thrilling and magic game, with such big names on the sand.

But the task of these two foundations, ‘Fight Aids Monaco’ and ‘Un sourire, un espoir pour la vie’, is not over. They still have many many things to do to keep on fighting to make easier and happier the lives of those who have to face such a hard situation. The sand, the goals, the spectacle, and the Columbus Beach Soccer Show will always back them, and they promise to come back again next year for a new solidarity festival.
