COMPETITIONS
In 2005, beach soccer became a part of the FIFA family, with the first-ever FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup happening this same May at the Copacabana Beach in Rio de Janeiro. The sport’s most prestigious appointment, held now biannually, heads for its sixth edition this summer.
Six Continental hard-fought tournaments (Europe, CONCACAF, CONMEBOL, OFC, Asia and Africa) give sixteen National squads the passport to the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup.
The Euro Beach Soccer League brings the top national teams from the entire continent to compete head to head in a thrilling summer-long league format. After four stages, the best teams fight for the continental throne in the EBSL Superfinal.
Besides the exciting Euro Beach Soccer League, the eight top teams in the Old Continent according to the season ranking meet in a rushing Knock-out tournament: The Euro Beach Soccer Cup.
Together with the regular competitions, many other exhibition tournaments draw the Beach Soccer season all through the world: The Mundialito, The BSWW Tour events, the Copa Latina, etc.
The new universe of Beach Soccer is here. The biggest clubs on the grass are ready to jump onto the sand and take the sport to a new reality with the flashing Mundialito de Clubes, to be held in São Paulo for the first time.
