The Praia de Carcavelos, in Cascais, Portugal, is all set to host a new edition of one of the most prestigious beach soccer events in the world, the BSWW Tour – Mundialito 2017, taking place between 21st and 23rd of July.

This year, the longest running beach soccer event celebrates its 21st edition and will do so with a stunning line-up.

All four former FIFA Beach Soccer World Champions will vie for the cup in Carcavelos - hosts Portugal, 2015 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Champions will try to make the most of the crowd’s support to dethrone defending Mundialito and FIFA Beach Soccer World Champions Brazil, but they will not be the only ones longing for the Cup.

2011 and 2013 world Champions Russia and 2005 World Champions France will have exactly the same intentions. Competitiveness, high-octane action, and top-class beach soccer are guaranteed at the BSWW Mundialito Cascais 2017.

Pedro Dias, director of the FPF, said: “It is a great pride for Portugal to host the XXIst edition of the Mundialito, a very special event which has earned a very special place in the hearts of beach soccer fans in the country.

The Portuguese National side will give everything to make our fans happy, we are truly thankful for their support.”

Joan Cusco, Beach Soccer Worldwide Executive Vice-President highlighted the great feeling of coming back to a notable beach soccer stage such as the Praia de Carcavelos, noting: “Cascais has proved to be a perfect venue for the BSWW Mundialito last year, so we were willing to come back. The atmosphere was terrific, the venue was excellent, and the level of the spectacle on display was absolutely electrifying.”

“Our challenge now is to go one step further this year, and I am sure we will make it, with four amazing teams that will for sure bring some electric games. I would like to thank both the Câmara Municipal de Cascais and the FPF for their ongoing support”, he added.
