The Beach Soccer Worldwide Tour returns to the Moroccan city of El Jadida between August 12th and 14th as the hosts seek to maintain a proud record at the event.

El Jadida has become a regular feature in the BSWW calendar over recent years, with Morocco often proving the team to beat, having won the title on two of the last three occasions.

This year, Morocco will go up against north African rivals Egypt, as well as Bahrain and England.

Egypt and Morocco are separated by just one place in the rankings, sitting 18th and 19th respectively, while England, just outside Europe’s top 10, are 28th in the world, 26 places above Bahrain.

Morocco held off Hungary and Spanish club side Levante in last year’s event to defend the title they claimed against UAE and Switzerland in 2014.

The Swiss were victors in 2012, finishing ahead of Oman, Morocco and Germany, with the hosts out to claim a third successive crown on home sand next weekend.
