Peru edge Venezuela on way to 7th
The Vinotinto, who took part in last World Cup need to win Colombia tomorrow to skip last position in Merlo
Peru began their assault to the seventh place in this FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup 2013 ? CONMEBOL Qualifier Merlo-San Luis with a narrow victory over Venezuela, who are undergoing in the Parque Recreativo a very disappointing week. After seeing themselves qualified for the last World Cup, in Ravenna, the Vinotinto will now need to fight for a very different goal in this Qualifier.
Despite the Venezuelan side managed the opener midway first period, Peru, who is now feeling comfortable in the pitch as they proved in their last win over Colombia, replied to get ahead in the score. The stroke exchange went on during the following minutes, with the Vinotinto changing the course of things again, through Gianluca and Edgar.
But the Inca side had not had their last say, and immediately came back once again to seize the win and make an important step to the seventh place.
The action will take off again tomorrow, Saturday, with four matches, including the two semifinals facing Brazil-Paraguay and Argentina-Ecuador and which will bring the first two teams qualified for the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Tahiti 2013.
