Bahamas, Mexico head to Argentina for warm-up friendlies

The three nations will play one another this weekend in Mar del Plata, Buenos Aires.

FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup hosts the Bahamas will take on Argentina and Mexico – two sides who will also hope to feature at the competition – in friendlies this weekend as preparations for the event continue.

With the tournament’s big kick-off just 98 days away, the hosts will travel to Argentina for friendlies on Friday and Saturday, before Argentina and Mexico meet on Sunday all as part of the triangular Copa Deportes Nacion.

Mexico will head to the Bahamas for CONCACAF Beach Soccer Championships in late February and, with preparations already under way, will go up against the hosts on Friday in Mar del Plata.

Argentina’s focus will be on the CONMEBOL qualifier in Asuncion, Paraguay, early next month and Saturday sees them face the Bahamas in the same location on the Argentinean coast.

Sunday is all about North America versus South America as Mexico meet Argentina to bring the weekend’s action to a close, although the nations will play two more friendlies on Monday and Tuesday.
