Brazil and Argentina to fight for head of CONMEBOL Zona Sur

Defending champions and Albiceleste will square off today in the last matchday of the first leg of Liga Sudamericana

Brazil and Argentina, will battle today to see who gets the right to fight for the CONMEBOL Liga Sudamericana de Fútbol Playa, after having reached the last matchday of the Zona Sur tier with six wins in six games.

Neither the U19 nor the Senior sides of the Argentineans and the Brazilians have lost one single game, and only the fact that Argentina needed extra time to bend Chile has the Verdeamarela slightly ahead.

Brazil added six more points to their records after bending, precisely, Chile in their two games yesterday. Whereas the youngsters grasped a 8-3 win,  the defending World Champions had a bit more of trouble, facing a cheeky Roja that would not make things that easy. Notwithstanding, the final 8-5 made things clear enough.

The winner in the games today will guarantee their chance to play against the champions of the Zona Norte to see who becomes the South American champions of this 2019 season.

With no access to the top spots, Peru and Bolivia squared off on the sand of the Caribe Canalla in Rosario, with the Peruvians dominating in both U19 and Senior battles (11-6 and 8-3).
