Brazil and Mexico prevail in opening

Both teams come back after harsh beginnings to earn first points and get ahead in the Copa America 2013

Junior Negão takes off with a convincing victory ahead of the Brazilian Beach Soccer National Team. The Verdeamarela beat the USA (7-4) in their first game in the Copa America Beach Soccer, which they are hosting ate Praia do Gonzaga, in Santos (São Paulo), and got on top of the table of this edition.

Just behind them comes Mexico, who lead today a brutal comeback against Argentina, pulling six goals back from the 3-0 the Albiceleste  had bagged in the first period.

Brazil were caught by surprise by the USA National team in the beginning of the match, as Feld got the North American ahead, and it took a little while for Negão?s lads to be themselves again after that. Indeed, Taguidod raised the 0-2, and despite Daniel cut the distance back with the 2-1, Faberoff tapped the 3-1 in to show that his team had travelled to Brazil with their mind put on upsetting their opponents as much as they could.

The second leg saw the Brazilian reaction, with Jorginho (2), Wesley  and Datinha turning the score around and making it 5-3. At that point, the game was absolutely under Verdeamarela?s control. In the last stage, two more goals by Bruno Xavier sealed a brilliant win for Negão?s side, despite Futagaki tried to answer back with the eventual 6-4.

Mexico, in the pursuit
The Azteca National side also had to fight back against the considerable advantage Argentina had built during the first stage of the opening game of the competition. Levi, with a double, and Hilaire got the Albiceleste clearly taking the lead and leaving Raya?s side helpless.

But that was the last time the Argentineans would smile, as Mexico strongly counteracted to get control of the game and hit repeatedly until the 6-3. Rodriguez, Plata (2), Mosco, Villalobos and Lopez punished Mendoza?s nets once and again, and got the CONCACAF kings clinching a prestigious victory that have them right behind Brazil.
