Brazil beats Holland to head for Cup

After Switzerland defeat to Mexico The Verdeamarella have the Copa das Naçoes at reach after hammering the Orange

Brazil will be the ones deciding wether the Copa America stays home or flies to Switzerland. After today?s results, the clash between the Verdeamarela and the Swiss will have the cup at one hands or the other.

Under a pouring rain, Junior Negaõ?s side made today a new leap forward in their growth as a team. As Benjamin pointed after the game, ?our match was almost perfect today, we are playing intelligently, growing match after match and scoring goals?.

The Brazilian powder was too much to cope with today for Kokmeijer?s side. Two goals by Bruno Xavier, another double for Mauricinho, and the efforts by Buru, Sidney, Anderson Wesley and Benjamin, who scored his 300th goal with the canarinha outfit, disarmed the Orange resistance.

With six points out of six, Brazil tops the table in the Copa das Nações, and only a stumble tomorrow would snatch them the cup.

Mexico wins Switzerland in the penalty shootout

In the first game of the day, Mexico clinched a fruitless victory at the penalty kick shootout. The two points earned by Raya?s side turn insufficient to opt to the cup.

With the two teams being unable to find the opponent?s nets during the whole regular time and the extra three minutes, the penalty shootout passed the sentence, with the Americans proving better aimed.
