Chile grasp first points at Liga Sudamericana

Argentina strengthen their position atop the standings with two new wins

After a bitter debut yesterday, Chile could finally seal two wins in the third matchday of the Liga Sudamericana de Fútbol Playa CONMEBOL 2019 – Zona Sur. La Roja bent Bolivia in both their U19 and Senior matches, with a stunning performance by Tobar (4 goals) securing the first win for the Chileans, despite Cervantes scored for for La Verde, too.

Things were not that tight in the Chile-Bolivia second clash. La Roja gave their opponents no option, and sealed a 6-1 win that keeps them in the fight.

Above them in the stands, Argentina added six more points yesterday, following a 6-3 win over Peru in the U19 division, and a narrow 4-3 in the Senior competition.

With an overall record of 17 points, the Albiceleste eventually top the table, although they will not play today, whereas Brazil who has not lost even one point, comes back to the competition.
