Draw distributes teams for CAF Beach Soccer Championships

The race to the World Cup does not stop, and eight African teams will square off for two berths for the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Portugal 2015 as of next 14th April in Seychelles

After the CONCACAF Beach Soccer Championships have defined Mexico and Costa Rica as the two continental representatives in the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup, now is the turn in Africa. The official draw for the CAF Beach Soccer Championships Seychelles 2015 (FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup 2015 – CAF Qualifiers Seychelles) have been held today in El Cairo. 

The draw was presided by Hicham El Amrani, CAF General Secretary, Dr. Ahmad, Head of the Beach Soccer Committee in CAF, Ahmed Salem, member of the CAF Beach Soccer Committee, and Ferran Piedrafita, Head of Operations of Beach Soccer Worldwide. 

The eight participating teams, who had earned their spot after some preliminary qualifying round in the last month, were distributed as follows: 

Group A: Seychelles, Nigeria, Egypt and Cote d’Ivoire.

 

Group B: Senegal, Morocco, Ghana and Madagascar.
