Catania is about to become the centre of the beach soccer world in the next days, with the Euro Winners Cup 2015 coming up next 2nd of June. After the unbelievable edition last year, we all knew that we wanted this huge beach soccer festival back in our beaches, and the dream has come true. It is, of course, a huge opportunity, but we are ready and prepared to bring this continental showdown to a new level.
Yet in the presentation of the event, held last Friday 22nd of May, everyone could see the huge involvement by the city and all its entities. Catania is really looking forward for this new edition of the Euro Winners Cup, and will absolutely take the chance to show the world the best of our people, the best of our city and the best of our sport. The organizational machine is well oiled.
We perfectly know what kind of opportunity, and what kind of sports event, we have in our hands. And we do know because it was not easy to earn the right to host this competition, as many major cities that wanted the same privilege that we now have. The work of the president of the COB, Santi Rando, was instrumental along with the assistance of Beach Soccer Worldwide.
With so many people involved, including 500 athletes, and a huge international projection, we have been working thoroughly to leave nothing to chance. With this in mind, and also with the idea of seeking the best schedule, we have also equipped the arena with lighting to add to the excitement and visibility of the games.
We want people in Catania, and in the whole country, to feel the same passion we have. This is what we aim for. And with this idea, with this energy, we are ready to enjoy this coming Euro Winners Cup 2015 involving the best players in the world.
Besides all that, this competition we will be hosting offers a great platform, not only for the city, but also for our squad. The Domusbet Catania Beach Soccer side is ready to fight every game to try to win a trophy as outstanding as the Euro Winners Cup 2015. Last year we tested our strength. We are now more aware and have adjusted our tactics and team.
