Agreement signed today confirms Portuguese resort as home of the EBSL Superfinal for 2+1 years
Earlier today an agreement was sign by the Camara Municipal, BSWW, the Federaçao Portuguesa Futebol and Portuguese media giant Cofina, to commit the Portuguese coastal resort of Figuera da Foz to at least two years of hosting the Euro Beach Soccer League Superfinal.
The agreement outlines the possibility for an extension of a third year.
The ceremony was attended by the president of the Camara Municipal de Figuera da Foz, Pedro Dias, the beach soccer director at FPF, Portuguese star player Madjer, Luis Santana, the director of Cofina (Official Partner of the event) and Joan Cusco, Vice-President of Beach Soccer Worldwide.
Both Mr Cusco and Mr Dias highlighted that Figueira is one of the most active beach soccer locations in Portugal and is a very suitable venue for the coming Superfinals.
The town is home to the Madjer Cup and the Portuguese National Championships and over the past few days hosted the Polish national beach soccer side came to play against Portugal in two days of friendly matches.
Figuera da Foz was a regular international event venue for many years, with events happening yearly for more than a decade. However, the last time BSWW held an event here was back in 2005.
