Italian Beach Soccer Awards: Party in Alghero
The best players and coaches of the Italian National Championship over the last 15 years, were recognised in a spectacular gala on Friday
There was not just action on the sand this past weekend in Alghero. The Italian Beach Soccer Awards took place in the Sardinia resort this past Friday, making up part of the Euro Beach Soccer League Superfinal and Promotion Final Alghero 2018.
The Gala celebrated 15 years of beach soccer in Italy, and the best players and coaches of these past three lusters at the Italian National Championship were recognised.
This is the final list of the awards and their recipients:
BEST PLAYER - Madjer
BEST GOAL - Emmanuele Zurlo
BEST SCORER - Gabriele Gori
BEST GOALKEEPER - Stefano Spada
BEST FEMALE PLAYER - Debora Naticchioni
BEST COACH - Emiliano Del Duca
BEST FAIRPLAY - Francesco Corosiniti
BEST FIVE - Simone Del Mestre, Dario Ramacciotti, Stankovic, Madjer AND Francois
The celebration took place at the wonderful Lo Quartier. a wide architectural complex that has undergone various transformations over the centuries and today is the epicenter of Alghero’s Old Town.
Joan Cusco, on behalf of FC Barcelona president Josep Maria Bertomeu, handed the Alghero mayor, Mario Bruno, a Messi-signed FC Barcelona jersey, symbolising the connection between Alghero and Catalonia.
Besides the award presentation, the night was also full of music and performances, including composer Umberto Scipione, Violinist Prisca Amori and comedian Peppe Iodice, amongst others.
