Italy and Belarus make things clear on day 1

Azzurri and hosts clinch big wins in the EBSL Minsk opening

Italy stand still against mighty Poland

The Italian National Side showed great beach soccer personality today in their win over Poland. In the game kick-starting the Euro Beach Soccer League Minsk 2018, the Azzurri seemed in control of things all game throughout.

Despite not needing the points to be in the Superfinal (their berth is already secured as the hosts) the Italian side will fight for each win as it is was their last, just as they proved today.

After a tight first period, in which the Poles managed to keep close all the time, Italy took off in the second, with Gabriele Gori and Simone Marinai making things 5-2.

The stroke exchange in the last period, with three goals in the last minute, would not change the course of the game. Italy were not intimidated by the Polish attempts, and knew how to keep their victory safe, clinching three more points in the league.

Goals: 1-0: Gori, min. 10 (1); 1-1: Gac, min. 10 (1); 2-1: Frainetti, min. 5 (1); 3-1: Palazzolo, min. 3 (1); 3-2: Pozniak, min. 1 (1); 4-2: Gori, min. 10 (2); 5-2: Marinai, min. 3 (2); 5-3 Pozniak, min.11 (3); 6-3: Gori, min 5 (3); 6-4 Friszkemut, min. 0 (3); 7-4: Corosiniti, min. 0 (3) ; 8-4: Frainetti, min. 0 (3)

Belarus entertain home crowd with big win over Turkey

The Belarusian National Team found a brilliant way to kick start their spell in the Euro Beach Soccer League stage they are hosting in Minsk, and ran past Turkey to get on top of the table.

The stout performance granted Nico Alvarado’s side three more points that mean a place in the Superfinal, as well.

A 4-0 run in the first period let Turkey know that it was not going to be an easy afternoon… Two more goals as second period began widened an already wide distance even more. Semih’s ridiculous free kick shot stopped the Belarusian run, but things were already looking really tough for Turkey.

From that moment on, the Turkish side would manage to reply every time the hosts would score, but that formula would not work for them, as the deficit they were facing was very significant.

The final 9-4 keeps Turkey in the lower part of the table, without any point, and they will need to work really hard in their two remaining games if they want to skip the Promotion Final.

Goals: 1-0: Kanstantsinau, min. 10 (1); 2-0 Bokach, min. 3 (1); 3-0: Bryshtsel, min. 3 (1); 4-0: Chaikouski, min. 2 (1); 5-0: Bokach, min. 10 (2); 6-0: Samsonov, min. 7 (2); 6-1: Semih, min. 6 (2); 7-1: Bryshtsel, min. 1 (2); 7-2: Yasin, min. 1 (2); 8-2: Miranovich, min. 0 (2); 9-2: Savich, min. 10 (3); 9-3: Baris, min. 9 (3); 9-4: Semih, min. 3 (3)
