New dates and prize money distribution concept presented yesterday to the teams in Nazaré
The World Winners is getting stronger as the date gets closer, and the interest of the teams is noticeable these days. With the intention of clarifying some of the doubts and announcing the new dates, Beach Soccer Worldwide and the representatives from Alanya, host of the competition, met with the teams yesterday, right after the matches in Nazaré were over.
First thing under discussion was the new date: the competition has been moved to the week of 30th September to 6th of October, so to avoid conflicting dates with some national championships, specially in Europe.
Second important item under discussion was the distribution of the prize money at stake, both for the Men’s and the Women’s competition. The amount of money destined to the prize money is 45.000 USD, and, so to make a fair and equitable distribution, it will be allocated according to the proportional participation of Men and Women’s teams in the previous Euro Winners Cup.
The final distribution of the overall amount will go as follows:
Men 35.000$:
1st – 16.000$
2nd – 11.000$
3rd – 6.000$
4th – 3.500$
5th – 2.500$
Women 10.000$:
1st – 5.000$
2nd – 2.000$
3rd – 1.500$
4th – 1.000$
5th – 500$
Notwithstanding, these figures can be adjusted after the registration is complete. BSWW will analyze again the number of teams in both genders and will adjust the final distribution of the prize money.
