Olimpia continue their Superliga domination in Paraguay

The fifth stage of the Paraguayan Superliga was won by Olimpia this weekend

Olimpia triumphed once again in the Superliga in Paraguay, as they won their fourth stage,of the league.

Maintaining their domination throughout the stage, Olimpia saw off their opposition in the final with an extra time goal from the Paraguayan international star, Pedro Moran to claim their fourth stage trophy, out of the five that have been played so far.

This event came to a close on Sunday 14th January, and was held in Aregua, on the shores of Lake Ypacarai, close to the country’s capital Asuncion, which will host the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup later this year.

The awards ceremony and awards were presided over by the head of the Division, Ricardo Torres, the Director of Development APF (Asociacion Paraguaya de Futbol), Douglas Martínez and the coordinator of the department of Futbol Playa de UFI, Milciades Velázquez.

This competition has a total of eight stages. Five have been disputed so far, and four of them have been won by Olimpia. The other was won by Cerro Porteño and the sixth stage will be played next weekend.
