Romanian strength blasts Andorra (8-2)
Little could an enthusiastic Andorra do in front of a much more consolidated Romanian side who took the lead from the game’s very first stages in this match number two of this FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Qualifier that is taking place in the beautiful seaside Italian village of Bibione.
Notwithstanding, it was not so easy for the Carpathian side to take this superiority onto the score. Indeed, besides a really early goal in the first period, it was not until the mid second one that Romanian attacking football became prolific. But when that happened, the match seemed to be decided.
Andorra tried to get again into the race through a goal by Blázquez, but the second period ended 6-1, leaving the match almost finished. Even though, fun for the spectators of this match did not end, since Romanian football left room for skilful moves and spectacular attempts. The Pyrenean side tried it once more, raising the 6-2 on the score, but two final strokes by the Romanian team left a resounding 8-2 on the score.
9 meter victory for Moldova
Game number four in this FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Qualifier needed the penalty shootout to decide who the one to get the points was. After the final horn, Moldova and Poland were both tied 1-1 on the score, and it was only by the means of the 9-meters-to-goal spot decision that Teslev Anatolil’s lads could achieve the victory against powerful Polish side.
Defensive efficacy and the great actions from both goalies made the score remain blank until the last period. Coceban achieved the opening goal for Moldova, what gave way to Poland increasing their attacking yearnings. They were rewarded only two minutes before the final whistle, through a good action by Saganowski, to make the game head for the extra time.
But none of the teams managed to move the score during the extra minutes, what sent the showdown straight to the penalty shootout. The first attempt was for Poland’s Hero, Saganowski, who could not beat Moldova’s keeper this time. Even though, Pernai did not take advantage of the Polish miss, and was not able to finish the fixture. Wydmuszek was the one to take second penalty kick for his side, only to find the same end as his teammate. Everything was set so as the one who had opened the score, Coceban, finished the match, something he did not fail at.
Czechs neutralize all Azerbaijan’s advantages but the last (4-5)
First match in Group F turned to be a great spectacle between two contenders who wanted to reach the goal, and actually did. The clash among the Czechs and Azerbaijani was really levelled, with Dzhabarov’s squad always trying a set forth, to get immediately caught by Nemec’s.
