Spain has the EBSL ? The Hague cup in their hands

After their victory today against Switzerland (who yesterday beat Russia), Spaniards depend only on themselves to raise the Cup of this Euro Beach Soccer League stage being held in The Hague. If they win their remaining matches, no one will be able to catch them in the table of this last Division A appointment prior to the Superliga.

In the other match of the day, Russia has smashed Romania with an uncontestable victory. Again, as they used to in Bibione, drilling their opponents’ goal up to eleven times.

Russian road roller on work again

Russia has offered another overwhelming power exhibition in their second match in this Euro Beach Soccer League stage in The Hague, and has blasted Romania 11-1.  Leonov’s poker and Makarov’s hat trick are the best proof that after their defeat against Switzerland, Russia is not to give any point away. Someone had to pay the piper, and it was the Carpathina side…

The match was almost finished in the first period. 6-0 was the result when the pleyers heard the firs horn, and little option was left for Romania. Maci did not want to surrender, but his hit was heavily replied by the Russian, again, to make it 8-1 at the end of the first period.

Torture was not over yet for Romania, since Leonov, Shkarin and Gorchinskiy would keep on with the punishment on their rivals, who, by the way, find themselves among the best squads in Europe, what points even in more strength the power of the Russian side.

Goals: 1-0: Leonov, min. 11 (1); 2-0: Leonov, min. 11 (1); 3-0: Leonov, min. 10 (1); 4-0: Makarov, min. 9 (1); 5-0: Shishin, min. 7 (1); 6-0: Makarov, min. 11 (1); 6-1: Maci, min. 11 (2); 7-1: Shakhmelyan, min. 8 (2); 8-1: Makarov, min. 3 (2); 9-1: Leonov, min. 10 (3); 10-1: Shkarin, min. 2 (3); 11-1: Gorchinskiy, min. 2 (3)

Spain culminates eternal comeback from the 9-meter spot

This last stage of the European Beach Soccer League is going to be really hard-fought. Not in vain, the draw wanted the three previous champions this season (Russia won in Moscow, Spain in Marseille and Switzerland were the champions of the Lignano stage) faced each other in The Hague. Spaniards have now in their hands the possibility to handle a new trophy in Netherlands, after their victory on penalties over Switzerland.

All through the match, Swiss were always the one to step forth. But Spain always managed to equalize, even when the Alpine got a two goal advantage at the beginning of the third quarter. When Schirinzi scored a superb free kick goal in the extra time, it seemed that La Roja would not be able to counteract that time. But they did, thanks to a left-footed rocket by Cristian Torres.

This sent the match right into the penalty shootout, where Leu, Schirinzi and Ziegler scored for Switzerland, with Juanma, Kuman and Miguel Beiro doing the same for Spain. But in the Swiss fourth shot, Roberto made a great save to Spacca’s attempt. Now it was the time for Pajón to finish the game, and so he did, making Nico think the ball was going to his right and tapping it in at his left.

Now, Spain is the only one in the group that has not lost any match, and if they win Russia and Romania they will be the Champions, and will reach the Superliga with the best figures of all the participant sides.

Goals: 0-1: Rodrigues, min. 4 (1); 1-1: Héctor, min. 6 (2); 1-2: Samuel, min. 2 (2); 2-2: Cristian T., min. 0 (2); 2-3: Nico, min. 9 (3); 2-4: Samuel, min. 8 (3); 3-4: Pajón, min. 6 (3); 4-4: Javi T., min. 3 (3); 4-5: Leu, min. 1 (3); 5-5: Kuman, min. 0 (3); 5-6: Schirinzi, min. 2 (et); 6-6: Cristian Torres, min. 1 (et)
