The beach soccer year begins on a high note. The seventh edition of the prestigious Mundialito de Clubes lands in Moscow’s Megasport Arena for the second time with a stunning lineup.

Defending champions SC Braga will see their crown menaced by the likes of hosts and two-times champions Lokomotiv Moscow and Spartak Moscow, Brazilian giants Flamengo, Levante UD and debutants Alanyabelediye Spor (TUR), Tokyo Verdi (JPN) and Grasshopper Club Zurich (SUI).

These eight teams will be put into two group in a draw that will take place at the RIA Novosti headquarters in Moscow on Tuesday 21 January (2pm), right after the official presentation of the event. You can watch the drawn live on our Facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/BeachSoccerWorldwide/

The action is set to kick off on Wednesday 12 February, and after three days of Round Robin group stages, the top two clubs in each group will play the semi-finals, with the final being held on Sunday 16 February.

Alongside the defending champions SC Braga from Portugal, the two host clubs Spartak Moscow and BSC Lokomotiv (who are two-time champions of the competition) will return to the fray, as well as the Spanish champions Levante UD, and the holders of the World Winners Cup, Brazilian giants CR Flamengo.

Completing the star-studded line-up, and making their debut in the tournament, are Alanyabelediye Sport from Turkey, Tokyo Verde, spear-headed by the Japanese powerhouse, Ozu Moreira and Swiss powerhouse Grasshopper Club from Zurich, banking on experienced players from the National side such as Sandro Spacca or Dejan Stankovic.

The full match schedule and squads will be released in the coming days.
