The countdown to the Mundialito is over!

Everything is ready in Almada to see Mexico, Japan, Spain and Portugal set up a great beach soccer showdown

As the official training sessions conclude, and the day gets to its end, the countdown for the BSWW Mundialito is almost over.

Everything is ready for a new chapter of one of the most prestigious competitions of the Beach Soccer Calendar, which will experience its 22nd edition by the Atlantic, in the marvelous Costa de Caparica.

The teams have gone through their last training session to fine tune their strategies and test their form, and are now ready to leave everything on the sand of the Estadio Multiusos de Areia.

Portugal will begin their fight for their sixth throne against reigning CONCACAF runner-ups, Mexico (1:45 pm), right after the 2012 champions Spain and Japan kick-start the competition here in Almada (12:30 pm).

Another of the great attractions of this 22nd Mundialito, as mentioned during the last days, is that it will be Alan’s last competition. His first ever cap for Portugal was in the Mundialito 1998, and the Mundialito 2018 will be his last one: A perfect place to bid farewell to one of the most outstanding players in the history of our sport after two decades.

Remember that all matches will be broadcast LIVE on beachsoccer.com
