U.S. Open to feature women’s competition

The NASSC’s elite division will involve women’s teams for the first time this year.

The 25th anniversary of the U.S. Open – held as part of the North American Sand Soccer Championships in Virginia Beach – will feature women’s teams for the first time this year.

A unique part of beach soccer’s calendar, NASSC takes place between June 8th and 10th this year, with the 25th edition all set to be the biggest and best yet.

Traditionally, NASSC features the U.S. Open – complete with some of the best players and teams from the world of beach soccer – as well as various divisions for children, teenagers and veterans along with other sand-based sports, with the action stretching the length of Virginia Beach’s boardwalk.

In total, more than 11,000 players featured at the event last year across all divisions and this time around there will be a women’s competition alongside the men’s in the U.S. Open, with teams still be confirmed for the event.

Registration is open now and available via the NASSC website here!
