Ukraine join the continental elite!
Bozhenko's side bent Belarus in a breathtaking penalty kick shootout in the Promotion Final to earn the ticket to Division A
Ukraine became this morning a new Division A team, after beating Belarus in the penalty kick shootout of the Euro Beach Soccer League Promotion Final. The fight both sides fielded at the Beach Stadion in The Hague highlighted the huge level of the Beach Soccer anyone can see in the Division B. Both Ukrainians or Belarus would have been a deserving winner of this competition, but the better aim from the 9-meter distance got Bozhenko’s side seizing the big prize of joining the Beach Soccer continental elite.
Everyone had earmarked Ukraine as the main favourites, together with France, for the final glory in the Euro Beach Soccer League Promotion Final, but the Ukrainians have found a really hard way to the Premier division, being this decider for Promotion a clear example of the hard they needed to fight for the cup. Zborovskiy’s opener seemed to point the opposite to that, but after the Division B top scorer swept his team ahead, Ukraine never found the Belarusian nets again during the match. Instead, it was Bryshtsel, one of the key players in Bogaichuk’s side, the one giving the game a different ending than the one mentally penciled by Ukraine.
The equalizer remained for good, both in the regular time and the extra three minutes, so the penalty kick emerged as the final decision-maker. The 9-meter line lottery got the jackpot falling on Ukraine’s hands, as after Bryshtsel and Korniichuk successful attempts, Igor Borsuk made the most of Haiduk’s miss to certify his team flying to Division A for the next Euro Beach Soccer League 2013.
Goals: 0-1: Zborovskiy, min. 3 (1); 1-1: Bryshtsel, min. 11 (3);

Netherlands keep growing with a victory over France
Finally, Netherlands could save an excellent memory out of this Euro Beach Soccer League Superfinal & Promotion Final they are excellently hosting in The Hague. A history-building win against recently relegated World Cup Winners France was a great way to full-stop the continental season, and the way Kokmeijer’s side achieved it added even more sweet to the moment.
The third place in the Division B pool was at stake, and both teams needed to grab something positive before leaving the Beach Stadion. France, overcoming the tough feeling of knowing themselves a Division B side for next year, tried to prevent the Dutch having something to celebrate. The match turned into a real stroke exchange between two boxers who needed to look up front, without uncovering their wounds.
The two goals rent achieved by the Orange at the beginning of the match turned to be decisive in such a hard-fought game. Despite Marques cut the distance, the French would never see themselves ahead in the score, as any attempt to get closer to the equalizer was replied by a confident Dutch side, who by mid first period widened the distance to three goals to crush the French enthusiasm. One goal more for each side did not change the course of things, and the hosts clinched the third place in this feeling theafter their defeat on Friday against Belarus and their

Germany knocks Czech Republic down after bad beginning
Germany finished the current Euro Beach Soccer League in the fifth position of Division B, after clearly cruising past Czech Republic this morning in The Hague. The German side, though, were faced to a difficult first stage of the game, as Lukic’s side got ahead but the team Germany has become found many ways to disarm the Czech Republic barriers and finally bagged the position at stake.
The Czechs lasted no longer than three minutes to open the score, with Toman heading in the opener for Lukic’s side, and captain Martin Chalupa pushed the advantage further with a second goal, still in that first period. Germany were finding it really difficult to get to the Czech end, but once they learnt the way to their opponents nets, they would not stop until they had the match absolutely decided. A blasting 5-0 run turned things drastically around, and got the German’s the absolute control of the game.
Mandik tried to stop the goal leak at the beginning of the third period, but Boringschulte’s lads would not let their special vibe stop, and in the last minutes of the game three new hits got the win, and the fifth place in this Promotion Final, flying to Germany. The victory was the only way to close such a brilliant season as the one brought on by the Mannschaft.
Goals: 0-1: Toman, min. 8 (1); 0-2: Chalupa, min. 7 (1); 1-2: Rigo, min. 0 (1); 2-2: Caste, min. 11 (1); 3-2: Soko, min. 9 (2); 4-2: Rigo, min. 6 (2); 5-2: Ulle, min. 9 (3); 5-3: Mandik, min. 9 (3); 6-3: Kniller, min. 1 (3); 7-3: Thürk, min. 0 (3); 8-3: Caste, min. 0 (3)
